The Decision

A tribunal will make their decision after carefully considering all the evidence they have heard and read and any legal arguments made. Decisions are usually provided within 10 working days of the completion of the hearing process.  Some tribunals may issue a summary decision earlier than this to be followed up with the full set of reasons.  The summary decision does not provide the tribunal’s reasons.

Where it is not possible to produce the decision within 10 working days the case officer will provide regular updates to parties.

Case officers are not permitted to tell any party verbally what the decision of the tribunal is.
