Dear Child,

Thank you so much for talking to us recently. It was really helpful to hear from you about how you were feeling, what is going well for you and what you find hard.

We learnt a lot about you from all the papers we read before the hearing. They told us that you found being in the sensory room helpful, that your new Teaching Assistant was good and that you think you would enjoy being in smaller classes. It was fantastic to hear that your reading has improved so much and that you found using the laptop helpful.

You also told us that you found some things quite hard at school such as being annoyed by other pupils, having your lunch taken away and making friends.

It was important that we heard how you felt so that we could make the right decision for you. We decided that you should stay at School A. Your school reports show that you are doing well there. When you attend secondary school, some of your school friends will join you there. [Part of this paragraph has been changed by the Chamber President to preserve the anonymity of the child under rule 55(4) the First-Tier Tribunal for Scotland Health and Education Chamber Rules of Procedure 2018 (schedule to SSI 2017/366)]

You have coped with a lot of change during your school life but despite this, you have always worked hard. We wish you all the best for the future and thank you for meeting us.
